The Summercrisp pear is one of the top selling selling pear trees in the United States mainly for its hardiness! The summercrisp is a cold-hardy tree that bears fruit early season. This pear is best picked and consumed at the ripe stage when the fruit is still crispy. Light green fruit blushes red to signal that the fruit is ready to harvest! This tree should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. Will need routine pruning. Our trees are bare root.
