The Bartlett pear is the number one selling pear tree in the United States! The tree bears a green fruit but once harvested, ripens to a large yellow fruit with a smooth, juicy white flesh. The tree produces white blossoms that bloom mid to early spring and it is fast growing variety of pear tree. Homesteaders will enjoy preserving an abundance of fruit. These lovely pears can be canned, dehydrated, and frozen. The trees are easy to grow and will start to produce fruit in 3-5 years. We also have summer crisp this year. It is a non-self pollinating tree. You will need another pear variety to pollinate.
